MODULE 1 – UNDERSTANDING NEURODIVERSITY TO PREVENT DISCRIMINATION CLAIMS IN                         THE WORKPLACE

  • The different types of neurodivergence.

  • The Vicious Cycle of Non-Disclosure.

  • Two approaches to improving neuro inclusivity.

   A Case Study (Kyle) to illustrate what can go wrong and how a Neurodiverse Safe Work               Solution provided a good outcome for all parties.

MODULE 2 – HOW DOES NEURODIVERSITY IMPACT WORK HEALTH AND SAFETY RISK IN                               THE  WORKPLACE?

  • The impact of unmanaged neurodivergence on health.

  • How does neuro-inclusivity improve health and safety performance?

   A Case Study (Noelene) examines a psychological injury that arose from a work-related
   bullying complaint in relation to a worker’s neurodivergence and how the Neurodiverse Safe     Work Initiative provided a solution.

MODULE 3 – WHAT ARE THE EMPLOYER’S RESPONSIBILITIES AND LEGAL OBLIGATIONS?

  • Competing demands and priorities under the various laws that apply.

  • Case Law – Truffet v Workers’ Compensation Regulator.

   A Case Study (Joe) to examine how a risk management approach was used to eliminate           risk for an Autistic worker.

MODULE 4 – PUTTING IT ALL TOGETHER

  • If you don’t consciously include you will unconsciously exclude.

  • Neurodiversity Awareness Training.

  • The OHS Management Systems Approach.

   Case Study (Annie) provides an opportunity for learners to apply a Neurodiversity
   Self-Assessment Checklist tool to assess the neuroinclusivity of the work environment.

  • The Person-Centred Approach with the help of the ND Work Profiler.

Post Course Work 

The 21 day challenge is a framework to help you implement the knowledge and skills acquired during this workshop into practical action. Following the workshop you will consult with your team, gain valuable insights and perspectives, fostering collaboration and engagement before putting an action plan in place for tangible and lasting results.
